during the burn outs (started in 2nd then into 3rd) seemed the car was doing something strange, hard to describe. the car would rise in the rear and there seemed to be a change in rpm with a noise i cant describe. kind off a soft rubber sound. when the rear moved it was an instant movement, like something relocating. only did it once per burn out. last pass, during the run, just a few feet out there was like one BIGggggg wheel hop. tires unloaded and spun. im going to look under the car in good light and see if something is lose but heres whats on my mind. mind you i dont have ANY experiance with high performance cars so all ideas are welcome. could the car be making enough power now to be over powering the rear tires after the front tires come back down on the ground and then rehooking? thanks, Dave

There is so much that could be going on here, did you actually make a pass? If so, what were your incremental times? How much stall? What kind of tires? What pinion angle? Were both tires spinning during the burnout?
Yes, your suspension can load, unload, then load the tires again. How much front upwards suspension travel do you have?

As you know, i think its a shock problem.

Someting is coming apart. Take a real good look for broken welds or control arms.

heres another thought. i hear people speak of the suspension binding. is it possible i have over tightend the rear control arms? although i would think it would have done this before know. the car only has 12 passes on it, but not this quick. also my son drove the car for the first time. really lame burn out in second. could he have hurt something in the trans?

Coulda, woulda, shoulda - its time to actually start inspecting the car. There is no way that even the best TC'er can do a remote diagnosis.
Start with the obvious: does it drive now, and does everything function well in a non-dragstrip environment. Next, put it in the air and check it all over as suggested. Finally, drop the trans pan and inspect.
After its all fixed again, take your son out and show him a proper burnout procedure.
