The one from Speedomotive looks good, has what I'm basically looking for as in Hyper. pistons,5.7" con rods and good price.Has anyone bought this kit? Or have any other suggestions as in other company's kits? Thanks

Don,
I used the speedo kit, came complete less flexplate (they have them), the rods are refurbished and ground for clearance, pistons were speedpro with hastings rings and bearings,
crank was a new scat, I was pleased ! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

i have been running the scoggin dickey stroker kit in my car for about 2 years was cheap and had nice parts the only thing is my machine shop told me the rods would not hold up to my application of nitrous so i had to replace them with eagle rods here is there website
scoogin dickey performance parts (http://www.sdpc2000.com)
look under engine components and then rotating assemblies

??Don?? I havnt used them yet, but am seriously considering this. http://www.enginekits.com/ Powerhouse has a rotating assy. for 469.00. I'm curious if anyone else has used this kit.. not sure about the power you are planning on running. I was hoping for around 425 lbs torque and probably 350 Hp or so. mild by most standards, so Im wondering if it would hold up.

I went with the kit listed below. My engine builder was very empressed with the quality of all the parts. Also, they answered every question I had.

I ordered a Powerhouse assembly: forged rods, Speed Pro Hyp. pistons, cast crank, balancer, complete set of gaskets, rings, bearings, completey balanced, nice service, and all for around $1000. The compression came out to around 11.20 with my 67cc heads. The engine runs very well. Hits mid 11's soon to be low 11's with taller tires. The engine has so much torque that the 4.10 rear end gears were too much for the 26" tires. I was crossing the line at 6400rpms. My new 29" tire allow me to cross at 6000rpms(at the top of the engines power range). I will try a 100hp shot of nitrous an see it the car will now get into the low 11's. Sorry for ramblin, but you can't go wrong with a Powerhouse kit.
