Has anyone been ambitious enough to weld up their own bullet mufflers before? I would like to get the same results as the Dynomax bullets, but just use exhaust pipes of different sizes to create them.

Anyone have any ideas - suggestions. (other than don't try it)

Luke I took 2freebie short glass packs and welded em on about a foot behind the headers-It sounded horrible-Put 2 super turbos on and love it-so will your ears!

The Dynomax Bullets are a straight thru design, but they do have a perforated core inside.
They're not just a hollow pipe. They're like $32.00 a piece thru Jegs.
FWIW, I run the bullets on my nova, and I love them. They are loud, but if you run the pipes out from under the car, they're not bad at all inside the car. My exhaust dumps in the factory location behind the rear wheels, and it sounds super tough.
I also run an "H" pipe that helps quiet it down just a bit...
So far, the cops don't even give me a second look.
(unless they like the car!)
