hello i have a 70 malibu drum brake car and im wanting to switch to front disk i have seen all the conversion kits for sale the prices scare me a lil i was wandering if any1 know a junkyard swap for newer cars (80's ) that can be made fit any info would help thanks

I see that you are fairly new, there is a Brakes and Suspension forum on this site, go there and do a search, it has been posted already.

If you budget is tight and you just need a little more stopping power, try a set of Wagner shoes. I got a set from O'reilly's after nearly running off the end of the track at only 107 mph with cheap shoes. Now I make the first turn off.
