My neighbor put a used stroked 427 roller motor in his 40s' Stdebaker pickup over the winter. After one pass the oil pressure dropped. There is metal through the whole thing.javascript:void(0)
angryHe is obviously disgusted. He wants to use some of the better parts on his old engine(10:1 468 with .133 Keith Black Pistons and 7000rpm Rods). What will we get if we put these parts on the old engine.

Lunati .993 lift solid roller cam
Merlin II Heads
Edebrock Victor II Intake
1050 Dominator

Is this a woth while undertaking ?
What initial jetting should we use ?

Thank You for your help.

Phil68chevelle, Is that cam info. a misprint? I can't find a .993 lift cam in the Lunati cam catalog anywhere. If it does lift anywhere near this high loose it as you would need severe milling of the valve reliefs and extra long valves and valve springs to use it. This is a Pro Stock type cam and won't work with regular 24 degree heads.
