Just curious if you guys launch with a transbrake, or a line lock? I have a turbo 400 reverse manual valve body with a transbrake. I also just purchased a line lock. I have a 66 chevelle with solid cam 454. I am running a hughes 2500 stall also. I will be running this thing for the first time on the track next month.

Use the LL for burnouts. The brake for launch. I suggest foot braking for launch for the first few passes, until you get familar with the car.

What brand line lock do you have and what do you need to know? I've got a TCI I still have instructions for.

Your line lock installation will vary a little depending on whether or not you are using a proportioning valve (front disk brakes) or not.
Here is a link to hurst and they list just about all the different setups http://go.mrgasket.com/pdf/RollControl.pdf
Even if you don't have a Hurst this should help you.
