Looks like a pretty solid car. Was thinking about trying to pick it up for around 8k, if possible. What do you think and what do you think the value is?
70ChevelleRagtop Aug 28th, 07, 1:15 PM I'm kind of partial to those little Malibus. Always thought it would be fun to find one a drop in a wild small block but keep the sleeper look.
That is a nice looking car. Stance is a little high for my tastes and the tinted windows are a ticket waiting to happen where I live! As for price, that is probably more than I would give for it but that is just my 2 copper coins worth. Take it for what it is worth which isn't much!
Mixtimp Aug 28th, 07, 1:32 PM Hey Dana, thanks for the input. I'll let him see how the sale goes and see if I can get him down a bit. As far as the window tint, I don't get tickets ;) Thanks.
mr 4 speed Aug 28th, 07, 1:52 PM 8K is about what I would want to pay for it.
We built one with a 454 awhile back..
67pete300 Aug 28th, 07, 1:57 PM Man, didn't you just get the 70SS about two weeks ago?
steve70malibu Aug 28th, 07, 2:18 PM I think Phil needs a darker car to tone down the glow of the white 70 in his garage. Just like I needed the blue 70 to tone down the yellow Buick.
Or could we both have the same addiction? Is there rehab for a muscle car addiction? Yes! Drive a ricer!:noway:
:D

Mixtimp Aug 28th, 07, 3:01 PM Steve, based on your advice, I am currently making an offer on a 2001 Honda Civic, red/yellow/green/blue/orange, with super altezza tailights, 1.5" exhaust with 6" exhaust tip (LED's around the tip), and it even comes pre-wired for neon washer fluid dispensers on the hood. It has racing seats, a roll cage, about 14 neon gauges, lots of switches, even though the engine is a stock 1.4L SOHC (dyno'd at 87fwhp), but it does have a K&N air filter.
Haha. Steve. I've been meaning to call you. I just got back into town from some training up north. I recieved my intake manifold, and carb. We gotta get together get the velle running so we can go cruising. We'll stay in Palm Beach since your girl lives in Ft. Lauderdale ;) haha.
Mixtimp Aug 28th, 07, 3:02 PM Man, didn't you just get the 70SS about two weeks ago?
Yup. Haven't been able to drive it yet. I'm saving up for Steve's fee so he'll come help me install the intake manifold and carb so I can actually drive the thing. lol :beers:
steve70malibu Aug 28th, 07, 4:14 PM I drive a Honda Pilot SUV for my daily driver so it helps a little but I still go through withdraw trembles, I end up having to at least start up my GSX and listen to the lumpy idle for my fix.
Phil, just give me a buzz and we will plan a time to get you up and running. A well thought out plan will keep us from running to get a bunch of little items to finish the job. Look forward to going to M.C.A. with you, that stands for muscle cars anonymous! see ya in rehab!!

Phil, the fact that you can even speak their language scares me. J/K
Seriously though, if you still have $8000 laying around after buying the Chevelle, don't buy another car. Put it into the Chevelle, you're so anxious to make performance upgrades, that money would go a long way as far as suspension, brakes, and engine upgrades.
I am also a fan of that era of Malibu, but don't do it after just buying a classic, you'll have too many cars and neglect the Chevelle.
sg5492 Aug 29th, 07, 8:24 PM That is a clean car
sg5492 Aug 29th, 07, 10:46 PM It is also on Racingjunk.com
