I have a 64 El Camino with manual steering. I would like to convert to power steering, plus improve the ratio.

I have access to a 75 Trans Am steering setup, everything from the steering column out to the wheels, all linkage and connectors. Will this work in my car? Looks to me like the gear box will bolt right on. What about the pitman arm? If I use the T/A center link can I use the T/A pitman arm?

Also go to Global West web site they have a lot of info on this subject. www.globalwest.net (http://www.globalwest.net)
The steering box will have to be modified and the pitman arm will not work! the spindles and rotors will work but you need to change a few other things also. Call Doug at Global West for a more detailed information.
