Someone else posted this here and no responses, has anyone put HID lights in a muscle car? Im considering doing it. Like to know if anyone else has, pro's and con's.

I also read somewhere it is illegal to do, cars that did not have them are never supposed to have them. Seems kind of odd, I would say brighter lights save lives!

ALL the HID kits on the market are not legal and not DOT approved. The are way brighter than they are suppose to be and a saftey hazard to oncoming drivers. We are developing an H4 kit that is DOT legal for 2 and 4 light setups that will come with a quality relay kit. Our price on the 2 light kit will be same or less than DSE and include the relay kit. The 4 light kit will be a little more. We should release it in a few more weeks.

I go the European specification Hella H4/H1 combination route on my '68 El Camino. Not exactly DOT but then much better light distribution and focus than ANY DOT legal headlamp system. I have posted a URL to a page with my system before... figure you can search just as well as I can ;-)
