From reading previous threads I know that stock location for a 67 malibu, the tailpipes exit behind the rear wheels, but I am thinking about exiting out the corner of the bumper with a 45 degree turndown. If anyone can post some pics of both locations I'd appreciate it.

In my signature, there is a 66 that exits out the rear. Not exactly what you are looking for, but I love to show her off.

BTY, this is my 100th post, how exciting!!! :beers:

Don't take it personally, it just gets that way sometimes around here. Especially in the summer, alot of folks don't spend as much time in front of the computer.

You can see photos of my '65 with tailpipes exiting behind the rear wheels by clicking the link in my signature line. I think tailpipes exiting just behind the rear wheels is the quintessential mid-60's musclecar look even though most had the exits at the bumper originally. Even if they exit at the bumper, I think they look better with a 45 degree turndown and turnout at the end. Rear exit tailpipes also look better when the pipe is bent in such a way so as to tuck it up beside the frame rail like the factory did back in the day instead of hanging below the frame rail.
