Has any one used flowmasters new super 40 series?
How does it sound in comparison to the origial 40 series?

I don't know about those Super 40s, but (I know a lot are gonna give me guff for saying this) I HATE 40 series flowmasters... I have had both 40's and 50's on my car the same day (within 20 minutes of each other), and I ended up with the 50's. I would NEVER install a set of 40's on anything I own, there is a considerable difference between the two tones... Just my opinion...

I installed the super 40's. I love the sound. Very deep, but not crackly, very little interior noise. This is without headers. I don't know how they sound compared to the original 40's

I have the 30 series and thet sound real good. The 40 series will have more of a throaty sound compared to the 30.

Same here I had the 40s and changed to the 50s not as loud inside of car.

The super 40 series are supposed to have a deeper sound and less interior noise. I want to make sure the super 40 series aren't to quiet.

I ve had the super 40 series mufflers on my 350 for about 2 weeks and i love em,. Theirs no interior "drone" and its still plunty loud on the inside. Out side they do have a little deeper sound than the regular 40 series. I tested em right next to my friends chevelle who has the regulars. They arent as high pitched sounding when they rev compared to the regulars. Hope this helps

I put a single 3" on my truck...sounds pretty good...now need to order a pair for my car. :D

I was just a flowmasters web site and they have a bunch of sound bytes of the 40 series. It sounds sweet like they got rid of some of the tinny high pitch sound of the orginal.

IMHO on their website they sound like a performance boat I once had. They are deeper but sound like they are underwater and I am a Flowmaster fan for the most part.
