As some of you may know, I just purchased a 'partial project' 67 (Partial project meaning it's drivable, and inspected, but certainaly not of show car quality)

Well, anyway, it came with this steering wheel:

I wanted to try to make the car more "stock" so I bought an original 67 wheel off ebay and installed it today.

After driving around for a while, I think I like the 12" after market wheel better than the 16" stock wheel. Maybe the bigger wheel would be ok if I didn't have power steering, but it seems so touchy with the stock wheel. I like the looks of having the stock steering wheel, but that's about as far as it goes

I was just wondering what others preferred. Bad thing about the aftermarket is the horn button. Those two wires in the photo lead to a horn button on the dash (that toggle switch is backup lights)

I really like the small-diameter wheels.

I'm currently using a Camaro-style four-spoke unit; which would be perfect if it was two or three inches smaller in diameter.

i like the steering wheel in my T Type- it just fits the hands perfectly and is just the right diameter. the leather wrapping is pretty mice, as well. there was a black turbo Buick wheel on ebay the other day for about $75.
another style i like is- don't laugh- some of the wheels used in Chevettes and even in the older Monza's and what not.

Im using the Grant Classic 3 spoke wheel part number is 969. Its confortable and looks great but its too deep and the horn button attaching sucks.

I wanted a classic 3 split spoke wheel but they were too deep so I got this one and LOVE it! It looks modern but classic!

The chevelles had the nicer interiors in the muscle car era, and the Rosewood wheel :thumbsup:was the icing on the cake.

I like the original huge black wheel that came with the '68. I do have power steering and I use a wheel spinner.

odd, the larger stock wheel should be less touchy than the smaller one you got with the car.
