I went last year with my broken down 66 mustang 289. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! 3,000 hot rods over one week. This year I can't wait a different year and a different ride my 72 Chevelle 350 I can't wait see you guys there.

Check Cruisinthecoast.com, although it doesn't really do the event justice. I can't wait. The biggest problem is hotel room availability. There is different stops in different towns along the coast. You can park at these stops, there is bands all day, cruise along the coast, sit and watch cars go bye if you want. Cars of all types will be there too! It's a blast! Every where you look there is Hot Rods and Muscle cars of all kinds.

Sherri & I will be there with her 59 Biscayne this year. We took my Chevelle last year. We definitely need to link up somewhere like Edgewater Mall. Nice big parking lot and one of the cruise stamping sites.

Been to CTC 7 times and as 396ss said, It's a blast!

How about 3:00 PM on Thursday at Edgewater? We can meet and greet and decide what to do next. A second thought would be later in the evening and everyone bring a lawn chair so we can sit around, talk, and watch the cars.

Wayne, if you see this message, was that your 69 Chevelle pictured in Super Chevy? I believe it was but just curious. Anyway, I'm going to be at the Edgewater Mall in my truck on Thursday. Does anyone have info on the Bay Saint Louis cruise site? I went several years back but didn't get to visit any of the local "establishments" so curious if they are still there. Also does anyone have a suggestion for a good seafood resturant? I haven't found any real hidden gems for good food with a comfortable atmosphere.

Time is getting closer. Edgewater Mall on Thursday.

Wanted to bring this back to the top one more time. I'll be there Tuesday afternoon with my nephew. Will be at the Edgewater Mall Thursday at 3:00. I'll be in a 93 Chevy truck, SWB stepside, dark blue over silver, with Tate county MS tags. The truck will have a roll pan on the rear in lieu of a bumper. Me--- 6-3 240# with brownish hair.

If it is raining, anyone know of a place to meet?

i live here on the coast..we go every year...ill meet up with ya'll at the mall on thursday and if anyone would want to come to our fish fry we have on the corner of rodenburg and hwy 90...we fry some good ol fish, homemade hushpuppies, some jambalaya and maybe skin a beer back or two...we have a good ol time slinging water on the road at the red light and watch em light em up...by the way this is happenin on saturday night

Just thought I would add....I swung through the swap meet today and cruising along the coast, there were classic cars, hotrods, streetrods, etc... EVERYWHERE!!.....Like they invaded the town. Nothing like I have ever seen. And for the chevelle crowd, lots and lots and lots of chevelles. Very cool scene. People burning out occasionally but the police are trying to keep a grip on it. Saw a guy take off from a green light, got on it but did not smoke 'em, chirped second and that was enough to get pulled over (cops three cars behind us, and they do have unmarked SUV's patrolling). Any sort of power display I suppose will get attention. They cant catch em all though...

Again, very cool scene. My first time to an event of this magnitude.

Glad you're having a good time! Traffic will be bumper to bumper today and Sat. (especially Sat.) so you make sure you have plenty gas since their isn't gas stations on Beach road thanks to Katrina. While all the stamp sites are great, Ocean Springs has allowed burnouts right after you cross the train tracks as you leave, but that may have changed. Of course, you might want to see others doing it before you do to see if it's ok with the law. Be safe!

can you tell me what the "stamp sites" are?

I dont have to worry about attracting the law in my 97 cavelier ... I left my big block back in Oklahoma :sad:.... sure wish I had it though. I havent seen a biscayne yet :noway:

Just got back from the coast, lots of great cars out there. Loved seeing so many Chevelles out there. It is a great event and an experience to be remembered. My dad and I took our 72 Chevelle (Gulf Green w/ White Vinyl Top) out there on Friday. It was great to see my Pops waxing nostalgic on all of the old cars out there. Would have liked to stayed the weekend, but LSU football (we play Florida tonight) always happens on this weekend. Geaux Tigers!!

I stayed the entire week-Mon-Sun. What a great time. You cruise between Bay St Louis on the West to Ocean Springs on the East-26 miles I think. The bridge at Bay St Louis is open now after Katrina destroyed it. Each day there is a big get together somewhere -The VA Center, downtown Biloxi, etc. Hot rod cars are just everyshere. I saw a convoy of 4 big Cadillac, Dodge, LaSalle 30's model towncars all from Ga; a supercharged VW bug and everything in between. Many Chevelles. This is one event to not be missed. Plan to attend next year if possible.

We got there Wed. stayed till Sun. and had a great time! Man there were a lot of cars there. I think there were more chevelles there than ever. I showed up at the edgewater mall ,thursday just as planned, and i had the pleasure to meet one of the nicest guys i have ever met, Durand (DFER).We had a great time "bs"ing. Crusin the Coast was awsome this year, every one need to plan to go there next year!

Just got back to work and saw your post. Thanks for the kind words!!! I had a great time and really enjoyed talking with you. Hopefuly next year we can meet again with some others showing up. Beautiful car you have. I plan on starting some work on mine so that I can be there next year with it.
