Don't think it will go 750. For comparrison a buddies of mine 540 made 690 hp with dart 325's (stock) solid roller 255 and 262 at .050 and .652 lift on a 114. Dart intake with a 1090 Demon. 10.5 to 1.

In fact, the motor mentioned above is very similar to mine...stock Dart 325's, 256/264 @ .050 w/.660 lift on a 110, Super Victor w/King Demon 995...dyno measured 696 hp/690 TQ.

sorry for the mispelled works i am missing 2 fingers on one hand and have only owned a computer for like 2 months figured it would be a good tool in my search for ideas for my build.

Yes, with 700hp you should solidly be into the 10's,but only if it will hookup! Your suspension, trans, converter, rearend will have to be up to the task also. Because I bracket race, personally I stay away from nitrous, feel that 10sec. is all that I wish to deal with, expenses etc. Goodluck and see ya at the drags! :D

65283mali, not to hijack your thread but, I just wanna say "thanks" for putting yourself in harms way, aside from all the really big reasons...so, that we can enjoy the freedom to do things like hotrod our cars.
Goodluck with that 540!

Hi 65283,
Thanks for the private message & welcome to the the board & wonderful world of the endless money pit,,,
I am sure you will enjoy building your new toy

I don't do the HP guess thing much but since you asked :D

With a hyd roller I agree with all the above.
About 650-700HP is probably a good number on an honest dyno.
I would expect another 50 or so with a solid roller if those heads flow decent but I don't use them so I can't really say.

As a reference, here is a 489 that was run both ways:
AFR 315, Vic Jr, 1" spacer 850 Demon, Comp roller 254/260- .699/.666-111 sep, Isky Red Zones, 9.8 compression, 2" dyno headers
670HP@ 6300 @ 610ft lbs @ about 45-4600.
Over 500 ft lbs from 2900.
Idled about 850, don't remember the vacuum
This was on a dyno considered pretty conservative,,, Mine :D
Also this engine was pulling over 2" of vacuum from around 5000 on up which means the carb was too small.
Add about 1 point of compression and a little more carb & I have no doubt it would have gone over 700 honest HP.

This engine was originally built with a Comp hyd roller that broke a link bar on the fifth dyno pull. (needless to say I do not use Comps rollers any more!!)
It made the same 610 lbs ft but the Hp was 620 at about 5900
==
The two cams were reasonably close for a solid & a hyd roller.
The hyd was an off the shelf XR294 , 294/300, 242/248, .572/.560, 110
The solid was a custom 292/298, 254/260, .699/.660, 111.

As for what it is worth or would cost to build,,,
real rough guess to build, anywhere from about $8k to $12k+ depending on what parts are in it ;)

65283mali,

Know what you mean b/ I'm not kidding when I say, "my memory is about as long as something else on my body and I don't mean THAT" b/c I lost my left hand index finger and parta my thumb when I was a stupid kid and made a table saw when my Mom said not to after Dad died!!

65283mali, Sounds like a reasonable deal with pretty good parts. It shouldn't be far off of 700 H.P. one way or the other and that should easily run mid tens or quicker in a 3700 pound Chevelle if you can hook it. Good luck on your endevor and get a good cooling system. You might have a tough time with traction as the '65 model Chevelle has a real small wheelwell and you can't get much tire in there unless they are mini-tubbed.

7k is a good deal for the parts you listed.
