will these heads work on a stock 60 over 402 piston .the pistons have the stock style dome .I set the head on with no gasket and it did not hit the piston.I wasnt sure how much clearance there has to be between the head and the piston.thanks for the help.

I would think they should be fine. They were from that era I believe. You'll have to check for piston/valve clearance issues, depending on the cam you choose, but I doubt it would be an issue. Most standard gaskets are about .040 thick, so take that into account.

I am just trying to put an engine together to finish out the year with and run a couple of races .I am putting in a clay smith 244 dur 570 lift hyd. cam and I just threw in a rebuild kit ,the heads were the only ones that didnt need work or cost me anything so If I can rebuild the engine and get it back in the car for the 150 dollar rebuild kit price I would be doing good.
