I'm hoping to establish a good data base for good places to look for build sheets. There's a a few great disscusions in Tag Team about the wheres and whys of placements of build sheets by factory workers. If you have found yours, please provide some knowledge:

Van Nuys

One was under driver side of bench seat in the springs (this one was pretty torn up and brittle). 50% or less was readable.

One was on top of gas tank (tank must have been removed before I owned it because there was only a very small corner section stuck in the tar).

One was folded up in the rear seat back between the seat cover and foam (this one is in perfect shape - like brand new).

This is the only thing I've been able to find.
1966.
Passenger bucket bottom springs.
Fremont.
Still hoping to find the complete build sheet, but I don't have many more places to look.

Anyone else ever find one that looks like this?

That does not appear to be an Interior broadcast sheet like I have seen many many times from Fremont, Calif. built 66's :noway: the info. listed is similar, but honestly that looks like something somebody just wrote on and put in the seat.. and please don't think I am saying you have bogus doc., it just has no signs of being a real broadcast sheet.. If you look at my web site below and click on teh hyperlink for broadcast sheet, you will what is typical. I have seen other bizarre broadcast sheets for 66's.. but they all have had some recogizable way of showing they were circa 1965/66 on the paper itself.. not just aged..did you find this in an otherwise SURVIVOR untouched car??

interesting...

Here is all the places I have found build sheets in GM cars (mostly A-bodies)

Under the carpet in the front or rear foot wells

In the springs of the front or backseat (the back seat it can be in bottom or top)

Behind either door panel

Above the headliner (this a more of a late model location)

Above the gas tank

No way of ever knowing, but I'd be interested in knowing what percentage of cars left the factory with a broadcast sheet somewhere in the car versus those cars that left the factory without and "documentation". Those of us who have a legitimit broadcast sheet are very lucky, indeed.

well if your asking about 68's .... ;)

I know of only Two build sheets

an only a very small number of broadcast sheets have been found

remember it was an accident for this stuff to be left behind as the car was being built
