No I didn't pull it from the bone yard, I found it in the mid Michigan area. The back half does have rust issues but a very nice bottom structure. It came with new full quarters and a full new truck pan.

WOW! Really rare for a car that age to have its original automatic trans. I also live in the land of rust and I wish my car looked as good as yours!

how does CC 228 tell you it's the original trans? i'm confused. i see a lot of old cars with original trans, seems a lot more common that having the original engine. in fact, all 5 of my old cars do. probably less so on the automatic cars though, i'll agree.

that frame looks super clean! your lucky. should be easy getting the frame ready to paint.

The vin number on the left side of the trans matches the dash vin 306622, The id tag cc stands for 396/325hp, the 228 is the 228 day trans was built that year. If your 69 has a matching number 400 turbo it was a big block car seen the 400s were only put behind the big block other then standard transmissions

The muncie should have the vin stamped on the side pad, i dont believe it'll have an id tag though I may be mistaken on that

One panel at a time, Lucky enough the car came with new full quarters inners and a one piece trunk pan.
The big question is where em I going to put the car, My garage is getting small
