Most Chevelle parts houses sell blank buildsheets.

only the ones that got thrown in the car @ the factory are 'correct'
anything else IS fake unless your car was built or sold new in Canada!

And let me guess. Your car is an original, numbers matching LS-6 with every rare option available that you found parked for the last 30 years in the original owners' (old lady) barn.

As the other poster said. The only way a buildsheet is correct is if it came with the car. Not fabricated to make people think it came with the car. What do you need a fake build sheet for anyway? The only thing a build sheet is good for is as an authentication document. So since you don't have it already, how do you know that your car is really what you think it is. Oh that's right, the old lady you bought the car from was the original owner.

Those blank build sheets are really great. Ya just gotta use a sharp crayon to fill 'em out cause the boxes are so little.

Boy, you guys could be cruel :(

Fish, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt being that I see you have a low post count I assume your pretty new to the site and Chevelles. If you did not find a build sheet in your car you cannot purchase one. Any build sheet purchased or a blank one used to create one for your car would be considered a fake build sheet and illegitimate However if your car was built in Canada you can contact GM of Canada and they will send you a letter of all the options your car came with, this is as good as a build sheet.

Hope this answers your question.

fish, when you don't fill-out the information page and show that you are a sincere member, it is hard for people to take you seriously. You don't show any info of your car. How do we know if you are not trying to fake something?

can I purchase a build sheet for my 1970 chevelle SS ????????:hurray:

That is a BIG NO-NO NEMO!!!!! :noway:

If it is a SS, then it is a SS with no documentation. Kind of like mine, and none matching numbers. Oh well, its still a Chevelle though, and I LOVE IT!!!:thumbsup:

You can order Build Sheets for your Pontiac, but Not your Chevrolet.

I think we sometimes forget there are new enthusiasts in this hobby and not everyone is out to fake a numbers matching documented LS6.

Anybody doing so would not be asking these types of questions.

Not very encouraging dialog for a new member. :noway:

Fish REALLY likes those clapping hands, eh?

Anyway...good luck in whatever it is you're trying to do.

Maybe a little more dialog and background on what you have, and what your trying to do would be a little more helpful here Fish.

the 3 word questions on build sheets, cowl tags and SS authentification may throw a few people off.

Perhaps an introduction and a paragraph or two on what your trying to do.

fish, you are probably the 10,000 person to ask that question.
I admit when I first started I didn't know either but nobody accused me of building a fake when I asked.

We all started out learning from knowing nothing.

I don't know why some people are so assuming and so cruel but don't let one or two people out of so many bother you.

what does a build sheet look like for a 1971? I found a paper that was in a box of part that I got when I bought my chevelle that I think is a build sheet but it is so old and dirty that i can only read some of it.
