whos running what? are some better than others? how often do they need to be rebuilt/replaced? i can cut and bend my own lines so are they sold seperatly? where do you put the switch? can the valve be hide? do they work best on the front line or the rear? (my thinking here is block the rear line. i dont want to get confused doing a burnout and forget to unlock the fronts) is there something else i need to know? ideas? thanks Dave

The lineloc has a momentary contact switch..I use the one that comes on the shifter handle. I have it hooked to a toggle switch..DPDT...so center is off and one position is for lineloc and the other allows me to use the switch for other button related devices. You can buy the installation kit which has different length flared lines and adapters. I use the morroso lineloc. Use it on the front brakes..unless you want to make poor mans trans brake and install on rear brakes(which is illegal in some classes

I also use the Biondo solenoid. My wiring is simple, a chassis ground, and a line to the 12v IGN terminal on the fuse box ( with an inline fuse) through a momentary switch. I have a quick disconnect plug near the steering column. ( defintely not a race car)
fwiw, the "switch" kits they sell are big $$ and you can duplicate them for $15-25. I went to a supply house and bought the coiled wire, quick disconnect terminals, and a hand held switch for $26.

I bought the Moroso kit because it came with a spiral coil cord with a micro-switch on it. The hurst I didn't like the quality of the switch and their use of speaker wire clashed with my interior. I hold the coil cord in my hand while using it and when done it drapes over the steering column against the dash face. with neutral safety switch and backup lights in the 1/4 stick I just wanted to reduce the number of wires running around down there. I am really glad I did it this way because it is hidden when not in use.
have same unit for 5 years now

Simialr to our street/strip top DWAG, Mr. Baird, I simply wind the coil wire around the extended ashtry and let go of the switch after the launch.

I have used a Hurst line lock for over fifteen years. I have never had to rebuild it or otherwise maintain it. It has always worked great.
Momentary switch on the shifter and I run it through a relay. I only use it for burn outs (I launch with a TB).
Front brakes.
