I think I know where I messed up on the timing and next weekend will try and clear that all up. I plan on upping my base time and take it from there. It is at 14 right now. MY NEXT QUESTION IS: Does it matter what spring tension I used on the mechanical advnace. I curren't have light weight springs. I fear they might be opening up to fast? Opinions please. I have a kit so I have heavier ones on hand.

You want the timing to come in as fast as you can without causing detonation. I'd stick with the lighter springs if you're not detonating.

You also want to make sure your mechanical advance isn't kicking in at idle.
