i recently posted this question when i was going to rebuild the 396 but have come into a 454 and i'm having that built instead. need help with the numbers i can expect;
combo ;
468 cid
1971 LS6 pistons .60 over
stock open chambered heads
crane 1.7 roller rockers
crane 282 hyd cam w/ 108 lobe sep. .533 lift int & exh
9.5-1 comp.
performer RPM manifold {if it fits a 66 stock hood}
750 holley DP
12 bolt posi W/ 3.73
headers w/ 3" exh
MSD 6 al ign

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

If you are looking for HP numbers lets say in the neighborhood of 425 to 450 HP depending on the weather.

500 ft. lbs at 3600 RPM and low 12's once you can get it to hook.

These are realistic goals to reach for, however, you will need some tuning to get there.
