The shop relisted this engine, after a previous buyer never sent the funds.
I think they have a very fair price listed, and if you are the owner of this last
week of January 1970 Kansas built LS-6 4-spd Chevelle this originally came out of,
you'd be smart to hit the Buy It Now button..

Or the owner now already has a "numbers matching" engine in the car.

Interesting.

Another 70 kansas VIN stamped on the VIN pad that's "Upside Down" and the Letter "I" substituting the numeral "1".

Every Kansas City 70 big block I've seen is done that way. If it was any different, on a `70 block, I'd be suspicious. In `69 the VIN stamping seems to have been by the oil filter on the KC big blocks.

The reason I brought that up was the 69 Kansas car we discussed in Tag Team with the stamping on the VIN pad.

Good point. :)
I wonder if anyone else has a 69 KC built Chevelle with a VIN stamp on the front pad?

Sorry for taking this post off track. Now back to our previously scheduled discussion.:waving:

Doubt that you will since Corvettes and Chevelles were assembled at different plants. While a long shot the sequence number might match the plant ID won't. :(
