I am trying to put in my new harnes fopr a 70 Chevelle with gause style dash. I am ok till I get the the actual cluster. What way does the connector go in? I think I can put it in either way. it is numbered 1-12. should 1 and 12 be top most or 6-7? Pleasde help, I would like to get this wraped up tonight. the wire diagram that I have does not show this

Also on the Ignition Switch connector, the wore diagram shows a connection with a orange red and green wire in it. On my connector going into the car there is only a red and orange wire. is missing the green going to be a problem?

The cluster plug hole should have a notch that corresponds to the wire harness plug on one side or end, I forget. You should only be able to do it one way.

The green is used only on a idiot light car. It provides ground to the temp light when the car is cranked so the temp light will light. Not used in a gauge car.
