I put a new motor and trans in the ol' suburban..
It is a .030 over 350..compcam XE262H..I used a set of circle track valve covers with dual K&Ns filters on the passenger side...no provisions for a pcv valve..should I make one or will it be alright??? any input would be great..Thanks

I'd hook one up. Under the hood the air pressure is higher than the atmoshpere. This will inhibit circulation through the engine. Even the old cars that came without a PCV used a road draft tube that was stuck down in a low pressure area to ventilate the engine. For a race car it isn't much of an issue but on the road, I'd use one. Perhaps you could hook it up to one of the breather holes. It would be better to cross-ventilate the engine with a breather one side and the PCV on the other, though.

When my friend picked up a motor out of a suburban in a junkyard and brought it home it had two breathers in the valve covers (no pcv). When we pulled the breathers out we noticed he never punched a hole in the grommmits, so actually each breather was sealed.

Anyway, I'd run a PCV just so you dont smell like engine fumes everytime you drive it.
