I would call that a 25k car at best. I'm quite certain the seller would disagree. :)

My guess is about $25k max.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I have 2 questions for the experts:
1. Do classic car appraissals typically inflate the value a certain %? FOr example, in this case with a $40,000 appraissal is it inflated $10,000, $5,000 etc. above market value?
2. Also, does the fact that it has an LS6 build sheet add any monetary value since it is not a numbers matching car. Thanks

Disregard the LS6 Build Sheet. The seller does by saying it can't be authenticated. If the seller disregards it, you can bet it's bogus.

An estimate is just that, an estimate. And yes, Insurance appraisals are typically higher than actual value but there is no standard percentage. You'll get a much better acurate real time figure right here.

The motor appears to be leaking and the seller states the booster and rear differential and transmission are also leaking.

25K sight unseen is going out on a limb at best.

This car is going to need work. All the leaks alone not to mention what's not mentioned.

25K should get you a decent driver with the same cosmetics or lack thereof.

But at 25K, it needs to be in decent mechanical condition and the body and Chassis need to be sound as it's the foundation which nice cars are built on. It dosent matter how much you fix or detail the car if the body and Chassis are sub-par.

The photo's provided would concern me without a physical inspection.

25K is tops only assuming that the body and Chassis are sound.

There's no way that this car was appraised at $40,000 and then had $5,000 put into the interior. First of all it's pretty hard to spend $5000 on interior parts.....and......if it needed $5,000 worth of interior work, it sure wouldn't have been appraised at $40,000.

I smell a shyster.

I'd definitely see it in person and from what I can see, I wouldn't give more than $15,000 for it.
