It's recommended that you use the grease that comes with the control module between it and the distributor. I do not have the grease that came with it. Can someone tell me if it's OK to use dielectric grease under the control module?

Yes, thats what came with it anyways

No way that will burn your module up trust me been there done that you need the special white grease that comes with the module dielectric grease does not wick away the heat under the module there for it will fry.

Any idea what the white grease is?

Thanks!

It is a thermal grease. It's the same type as is used under power transistors. It is used to create maximum thermal conductance. The module is a transistorized device and get's hot. The distributor is used as its heat sync. I went out to the garage to look for some but I am out. You should be able to get it at an auto supply or electronics store. Radio Shack does NOT have it.

It's called heatsink compound, used in all kinds of electronics. Surprised Radio Shack doen't have it, but then I haven't looked for it, just 'borrow' it from work.
