Have you measured the width and the lug pattern? Looks to be a full size Buick and if so will have a 5 inch lug pattern and be too wide for a chevelle.:)

Too wide for a Chevelle. The only way to find out what is in it is to remove the cover and look.

that is a newer style, you would need to change the shock locations at the bare minimum. then with any other work that will need to be done, it just isn't worth it.

73-77 the upper ears are angled different.

Just pull the cover and see if it is a posi. If it is pull the carrier and be done with it. I highly doubt it is though, but you never know.
