i have 15inch ralley rings and there is some surface rust on them.i am wondering what is the best and quickest way to remove the rust.i tried the turtle rim polish with rust remover and it didnt work.if anybody as a better idea let me know thanks matt

I used to use SOS pads, then I would put a coat of wax on em. Now I just run my ralleys with police caps and no rings.

thanks didnt think of that.the sos pads didnt scratch the rings.

mothers metal polish. works great. there is acetone spray on stuff. i used on my chrome rims that was awsome. no idea what it was called. i bought it from a detail shop. the mothers should do the trick.

I used double "o" steel wool. No scratches and cleaned up nice!

I go with OOO and some blue windshield wash. Windex evaporates too quick. It will take off the surface film rust and get into the pits if there are some. I learned about this while working on old bicycles that people would find and bring in to get working again.
then wax them well.
