Currie, Moser http://www.moserengineering.com/moser_interior/products.asp?CatID=8, Quick Performance http://www.quickperformance.com/

There are others as well. They can give you a bolt in package or just the housing axles etc. I Plan on buying one soon but I'll use my own center section and posi unit and have it set up locally.

Moser is probably your best bet as they seem to be the cheapest. I have one under my Chevelle and it was about $1600 when I bought it, but that was about 7 years ago.

My son's is the Currie bolt in and has always worked flawlessly, even through about half a dozen gear swaps.

What did the Currie unit with a spool set you back Harold? no brakes I presume?

I have Moser unit that I put a locally built center section into (3.25 Trac-Loc) for $450. Cost me just over $1100 total for the rear end/center section (no brakes). Don't forget that you will need to change the length of your driveshaft, too. If I recall correctly, mine had to be lengthened, so I went with a new one.

There are some pictures on my webpage if you want to see how it looks powdercoated.

Good luck,
Ryan

We use Danny Miller and always are happy with the results. I'm not aware of a web site but he is running an ad on page 60 of the current National Dragster (Jan 21). He shows a bolt in housing with brackets for A, F or G bodies for $855.

He also shows a housing w/ Moser axles, bearings, studs and retainers (no brackets)for $690, any width. The center sections are all over the place w/prices/options.

Here's his # 636-861-3900
He's located just west of St Louis MO.

In my experience, the quality and service are great. I've never heard a bad word about him.
My 78 has a Miller housing in it too! Gary

HI Rapid Robert, My son bought the Currie about 10 or 12 years ago and i don't know what he gave for it but i remember thinking it was kinda expensive at the time (Seems like about $1900). It originally came with a posi-trac and a non nodular center section. If i were doing it i think i'd get one from Strange or Mark Williams. It seems like everybody and their brother makes one now so the prices are a lot cheaper than when my son got his.

I don't know the brand, but I saw one advertized in the latest summit catalog.

Options added were the Race Case third-member, Ford Explorer rear discs, and I got the Traction Loc differential. With tax, the total was $3,009 or thereabouts (I picked the rear-end up at Currie, so no shipping charge). I think I put about 8k miles on it so far. No problems yet smile.gif
