Can anyone tell me if the longer of the two retainer springs goes on the primary or secondary shoe? By retaining spring I am refering to the one that goes on the pin that comes through the shoes from the backing plate. (sorry, not sure if I am using the right terminology)

the longer one goes on the shoe that doesn't have the brake self adjuster lever going to it. front, i think.

If you look under my signature under the pic's of differential you will find the brake set up for the springs. It's the last three pictures.

I see your retainer springs are green and yellow. I am assuming the green one is the longer of the two springs?
