: Electronic Choke Hook-up: How hard?

Hey Everyone,

I am thinking about buying a 770cfm Holley Street Avenger for my 66' 402BB, 4 spd.

Question is: Not sure if I should get an electronic choke or manual. How hard is it to wire up an electronic choke? I've never done that before. Are there instructions someplace in the data bank?

My old Holley has a manual choke, but it is always binding up. Hard to open and close and most times it's a real pain:mad:

Suggestions?

Tod:beers:

Just hook the hot lead to a 12V key on (in the "run" position only!) source on the fuse block.

Piece of cake.

Well.....my wiring skills are not that good. How do I find the "key-On" spot on the fuse panel? Does the other wire go to a ground? Any pic's out there?

Maybe I'll jsut stick with a manual choke:D

Hey Tod,
Just use the wire that goes to the wiper motor. With the key in the run position, use a teat meter tio find the hot wire and splice in. You will get a good 12V at that point.

No problem with mine.
