After replacing the three non rotating lifters with new lifters I now have three very slowly rotating intake lifters. In fact, one lifter only rotates when off idel (about 1300+). I guess as long as they are rotating thats way better than not at all!
The lifters I used to replace the old ones are the micro-lube style that have the small oil hole in the bottom.
Its my guess that this is as good as its gonna be with this set up and next year a roller is in my future (at least I will be able to sleep at night!).
The lifters I removed showed no signs of going flat so I'm relieved to say the least.
Any guesses why a new lifter would rotate in place of the ones I removed that looked new? I compared the bottoms of the new against the old with a straight edge and couldn't tell any eyeball differenece.
Anyway this motor has more torque than I guessed it would and I'm very pleased with the way it runs, really nails you in the seat whenever you want to! :D
