Very nice. smile.gif What's the deal with your front right turn signal bulb in the bumper blinking?

I thought was some "racers" trick myself. Just the ground going in/out due to that rumpity-rump sr cam!??

Thanks everyone.

Mike, thanks. Yes Boomhower is an awesome competitor, I was lucky to slip by him.

The blinking flasher is as Gene mentioned likely due to a poor ground. The funny thing is that blinker is a reproduction piece not that old, the one that works is original to the car. Can you say Made in China?

kjett, It looked like you had to run down everybody because of the lights. Great stuff. I was wondering what size gear are you running? I'm looking for a good gear ratio for my '67 and haven't decided yet.

Yes, I was the spotter rather than the spotee for a change :D I would honestly prefer to leave after my competition. I usually dial up .02 from what I think the car will run. If I hit a good light I will almost always win.

As for gearing, I'm running a 4.11 strange gear in the original 3 series carrier. I starting to think that I'm at the limit of my car's torque capabilities. My 60' times seem a little slow for the ET/MPH I'm posting. I'm considering a 2.75 1st gear the next time the TH-400 is out for maintenance, but not 100% just yet.

Put a th 350 in there and let it eat :D .Cool videos it looks like it is leaving real nice now.Have you ever considered putting in a flange after the mufflers and uncorking it instead of running the tails? Just curious if it would pick up a tenth or so.On your other post there you said you were having trouble with the day to night transition, the easiest way to change that is with the rear tire pressure. Most cars will have a window of a lb or so where it will still run the same. You can use that to tune your reaction time,if your red take 1/2lb out it will wad the tires a little more and slow down the vehicle reaction time. The opposite is true with more air.If it is a human thing bring lots of mountain dew and hershey bars tongue.gif

kjett...

Nice runs..what are the specs of your car. I see you have a 400 tranny. Beyond that?

We have been trying to get my dad's merlin 509 hookin up, with little luck.

What are your 60' times?

Any help would be appreciated..

Sounds good to me, Tom :D What's the handycap for a 454? Of wait, I forgot your race weight is plus 250 and you've got a 3.42 gear. Guess that works out to a heads up match, huh graemlins/thumbsup.gif Seriously, I do plan to bring my car up there next year after the points race winds down. Looking forward to racing with you guys.
