If your on a budget why not go with the stock type rockers they will work fine on a 500HP big block, and they'll run you about $60.00. WWW.competitionproducts.com (http://WWW.competitionproducts.com)

They have a maximum of 350 lbs..they canīt take my 929 springs. And iīve heard they are noisy as hell.
If i would afford a little more expensive rockers..should i go for Crane gold alu....or Compīs steel Pro Magnum?
(Both lays at around 280$.)
Please help me now..i must order very soon.
Thanks Jimmy

Jimmy,
Harland Sharp or Crane Gold on the rockers.
If you buy the horizontal bar lifters you will likley (not always) have to clearance your block around the lifter bores to fit the horizontal bar. Get the vertical bar lifters and not have to possibly deal with it.

Harland Sharp
I have the Promagnums. I hope the advertising isn't all hype. They are heavy. The tip end may in fact be lighter than al. But what about the pushrod end?
I did quick test. Actually just screwing around with stuff. But the PMs rotate farther past center than Al rockers when holding them just by the trunion.
Just hold a rocker by the shaft and see how far the pushrod end goes past the center of the shaft.
The PM's went noticably farther than the Ersons I was getting rid of. That to me ment the pushrod end was comparatively heavier. But then again this fits with the ad saying the tip is lite. :(

Ok,so the Harlandīs for 200$ or the Compīs PM for 280$..not worth the 80 $ extra?
I take this as i should spend the money on Compīs vertical bar lifters for 330$ rather than the extra bucks on the rockers?

Thanks everybody for helping me!

I bought some rockers from Engine Performance Warehouse (EPW). They look JUST like the crane golds but a different color....hmmm imagine that. And they were 30 dollars cheeper (if memory serves). I think the Jegs rockers are the same thing. They look like Cranes only with the Jegs logo I even ask the tech at Jegs and he said that he THINKS crane makes them.
Obviously steel is stronger than aluminum, but I'm sure there are lots of people making more power than us still using aluminum roller rockers. I vote for the Harlands.
