I recently took my wing windows and and replaced the factory seal with after market?? I can still see daylite. Any fixes?? I also bought two drivers side glasses for front dr door from a company whos sells on ebay? The first one one has to much curve in it to close the gap between the back and front side glasses. I complained was sent another one and its not the rt shape either it needs to be cut down at the top. Do you need to look for replacement old glass?? Is there a company who sells correct glass not worried about numbers these are soft ray. Cost was 50 .00 including shipping.

By needing to be cut down at the top, do you mean the window is too tall? You do know that the height the window goes up is adjustable by a stop on the inside of the door, right?

NO I mean the uprite part that seats against rear 1/4 window has too much backward slant it overlaps the rubber piece a titch. I cant find anyone to sand it down if that is possible and the other one has too much bow in the middle same place to seal against uprite rubber seperating front to back.????Windows on side

ITS pretty time consuming?? PATIENCE IS KEY. My problem is though I wonder if I should have changed them out? Although the others were flat and had no use left.
The new ones Look alrite for the most part but for the life of me I cant figure out how to close all the air gaps amd since Im putting air in car it will be important. I hate wind noise. I fought noise like that for a long time in the door strips. This however is my first frame off?
Are all after market crap like that? Im thinking of putting my scratched up old side window back in as repops dont fit not the ones I buy?

I replaced the seals on my 67 vent window and the passenger side leaked air bad. I had to add aditional weatherstrip to quite it down. Seems like they have a bad mold for the repops.

I've done the vents on three different '66-'67 models and in all cases that was a problem.

I have had the same problem but I was able to adjust it out by bending the mounts pivot points. It took alot of time but I don't have any more wind noise.

Hey, sorry to highjack here but are the vent window seals in one or two pieces. Looks to me front and bottom are one rubber seal and one vertical in the rear at the frame by the rollup window. Is that the case?

Hey Blubo adjust your rollup windows Front Stop upward and that may keep your window forward at the upper rear when fully closed.

Thanks, Tony

I will try it. This is wearing out my last nerve. I have owned this car since 88 Upon frame off I noticed the door glass was chipped where someone had broken into it before I bought it closer inspection revealed that the window was the only clear one of the lot and I have been looking out that same window. Now I know Im color blind but damn talk about fools
