Gents, I am building a 396 / 402 for my 70SS. Question time: I have a 2 bolt block coded 396 and a steel crank to start and 292 closed chamber heads. I want to make about 500 hp and 450 ft#'s of torque on street gas, Is this achievable? What pistons and rods? I was thinking of a roller cam and roller rockers but don't know which ones. I want the motor to look as stock as possible, ie The intake and carb and exhaust , any suggestions are welcome. Also , I am trying ro keep the price down.............any thoughts?
