I have a 70 Chevelle with all new front suspension except the sway bar. When we first put everything in we noticed that the bolt for the endink was touching the ball joint on the passenger's side with the floor jack under the LCA, but didn't touch while on the ground. Now I am hearing a bad rattle and upon inspection noticed the endlink bolt was loose. Could the bolt be hitting on suspension travel and what would be the cause? If so, what could I do to fix this? I thought about cutting the top of the bolt but I would really like to know what the problem is. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Gary

Gary, mine is extremely close to the balljoint also. I think that's fairly normal. I also know from working at CarQuest the last 20 years that there are many different aftermarket end link kits available. The spacers are not all the same length and some bolts are longer than others. There's certainly nothing wrong with cutting off extra threads or even shortening the sleeve as long as you don't bring the swaybar eye down too far. I think I've read on here where idealy, you want the bar paralleled to the ground at ride heighth. Hope this helps.

Thanks alot Danny,
That is the answer I was looking for. I think I will cut a little off and see how it goes.

Yea, the different length sleeves are for making the bar parallel to the LCA bushing/mount. If they're mounted with the threads facing up, you can flip them over and get more room.
