: Rear control arms

I'm rebuilding the rear suspension on my 1965 Chevelle SS coupe and want to upgrade the weak factory rear control arms to stronger aftermarket arms. I plan to go with boxed lowers but my question is what to do with the uppers, should I get adjustable upper arms or are non-adjustable uppers okay? From what I've researched, the adjustable upper arms help to set pinion angle, but is that necessary and worth the extra cost of these arms?

The car still has the original peg leg 10 bolt rearend but future plans thinking of swapping in a Moser 12 bolt and Eaton posi, or Currie 9 inch. I don't know if that makes a difference with the arms.

If you are buying a replacement rear from Moser or others, the ears that the upper control arms attach to will be located the same as the stock rear ears are on the existing rear. You should not need the adjustable control arms when you make the swap. Unless you have a problem with the pinion angle now, I would stick with the non-adjustable. You can really screw up the pinion angle if you aren't paying attention with the adjustable arms.

I'll agree with him. You've already heard my response somewhere else.

How about these? http://www.umiperformance.com/402118?category_id=20Bad idea for a street car. Do a search for "Poly" and "Bind" and you could read for days.

Upper arms NEED rubber bushings or spherical bearings at both ends for the rear to move and articulate through its full range of motion.
