I have yet to use anything on it.... it's relatively new and I'm not sure if it had been treated with anything before I bought it.

Hmmm, it's about 2.5 hours away from me.........:).

I know there was some club participation mentioned at last years awards, I'll have to make some inquiries to see if we can get some group parking for TC members. :beers:

Spoke to a sponsor this AM, he said all TC members would be able to park together... as they don't seperate class parking.
However the only way to make that happen is to all meet early and enter the show together , if we have a decent group it would be good if we could meet down the street for coffee and cruise in together:yes:
As we get closer I'll try to get a count and designate an easy place to meet if everyone is interested.
There is also plenty of trailer parking ......and trailered cars can have a spot reserved with the rest of us as long as they're minutes behind to park in the reserved spot.:cool:

Got a 1st place trophy for the 69 and invited back for the "Best of the Best" show on Sept 21'st... so weather permitting I'll be there then, although.... the 69 will look, drive, and sound a little different by then :cool::thumbsup:. Hope they don't hold that against me.:D

I just got off the phone with G Force and this is how they are going to handle the parking, if we come in as a group , we will all park together, if some of us are trailered , we will have an area to pull over while they park and unload then we will all be put in front of the line to proceed to the show field parking.:thumbsup:
There's a Starbucks on Rte 1 about a 1/4 mile down from where Orange Center road intersects with Rte 1 and is only a mile or so from the fairgrounds. I was thinking about 8:30- 9:00 but am flexible.... but I don't think we want to be much later than 9:00.
I'd like to see who's definitely interested in meeting and driving in together , then we can take it from there.

i'm going to take a trial run tomorrow and write down the mileage @ turns... but it's not much more than 2-3 miles after getting off the Interstate and only 3 turns. I'll post the exact info to the Starbucks and the show field tomorrow, if we don't all meet prior... we'll be scattered all over the place.:(

Seb, what I would suggest is you getting me the address of the Starbucks. I will put it in the GPS and it should get us to the Starbucks door. It is, however fairly difficult to figure exactly what time we would arive. Mapquest says it's 2 hours and 20 mins . If we leave a 6:30, we would be in the ballpark. Maybe give me a cell phone number and play it by ear? We also have to be carefull pulling the trailers into parking lots. We need a fairly large turn around area. May be better for us to go to the fair grounds and meet up there??

I know what kinda room you guys need to manuever around and took that into consideration..... the starbucks is located in a large retail plaza with plenty of room and minutes from the show. But if everyone would rather meet @ the fairgrounds that would be fine with me as well. Us local guys who are driving, could go straight to the show and wait at the pullover spot for everyone to arrive. It sounds from all planning on going that around 9:00 is when all plan on arriving. I'll get the Starbucks address tomorrow and if you and Al would rather meet @ the show I'll get everyone else gathered and give you my cell and we'll make it work :thumbsup:

I should be coming out to 91 @ exit 15 (Rt 68)... right around 8 ish.
That should put us @ Starbucks by 20 after 8.
My cell is 203-627-4307, call me in the AM if you think you will be in that time frame, I'll have Ryan in the 69 and a neighbor in an orange GTX with me. The other neighbor in the Boss had a change of plans.If were close in time frame there's a rest area right after exit 15.

Great time today, great weather and over 1300 cars !!:eek: I believe it caught the hosts off guard, considering it was double last years turnout.
Had a great time hanging with Al, Bill and Sam as well as locals , Mark, Gary& Jen and my Mopar neighbor Dave. It was nice having all the Chevelles in a row while all different makes and models were scattered all around us.
Sorry I had to scoot out early.... actually later than the show was supposed to be, but had plans for the evening. Did anybody take anything home? not that it's a indicator considering what we saw of the judging process :rolleyes:... just curious.

I took third in El Caminos. I was parked waaay back in the far upper corner behind you guys. The silver 65 parked over by you took second. But I didn't catch who took first. The Burnette handing out the trophies distracted my thoughts off cars for a breif second and I missed it. It was a fun day and always cool to see some different cars, but I hear you on the judging process. It would have been nice if it were more organized.

By the way, everyones cars looked great!

A big thanks to Seb for all the planning. We all hooked up at Starbucks and headed to the show together. Nice weather, good company, and 1300 show cars. What more could a bunch of car folks ask for.

Had a great time hanging out with everyone and meeting new people. Was impressed with the amout of vehicles there. Al an Bill , I got home about 9 last night L..o..n..g day but really had fun. Seb, Thanks for putting everything together. Mark, Check thos wheel covers !!!

What a great show! :thumbsup: Even tough they stuck my Elky in with all the trucks?? Not even sure if my judge sheet (witch was done by a kid that looked 18) made it in with the other Elkys? Congrats to all the winners. Drove down 90 miles and back with no problems at all, longest trip so far. Sorry I missed you guys but like you said with over 1300 cars it was tuff getting around.

Advertised show time was 9:00 AM... the 8 of us got there right about 9 and were #'s 690's to 700's... the placed was mobbed. :yes: They were not quite prepared for the size crowd they had.... although , I will say they put forth a valiant effort.:thumbsup:
