Alright, had a fuel leak on the carb so we took it off to replace the diaphram, in the process discovering there had been a vacuum leak cause the carb was slightly loose on the intake.

Its likely it was loose last time we set the timing, do I need to reset it?

Pretty sure the carb needs retuning graemlins/angry.gif

Also something seems off with the tranny now, the 700R4 is shifting about 2-3 MPH later than before and is a bitch about downshifting 2-1. Instead it just opens the secondaries... sigh...

Sometimes I wish I didn't give a damn about those lil barely noticeable power losses.

Oh, and the chrome thermostat housing decided to blast water and coolant everywhere through a small hole even though its only a year old.

Sorry to hear of the various problems you've run into, but thats the brakes in the auto business! While in the shop my chrome thermo housing also sprung a leak. Will replace with a billet alum one next time it happens. Takes few minutes to retime and set carb. I find my carb never changes its adjustment and hardly any timing changes either. How long since tranny fluid was changed and tranny filter serviced. Just lots a little things eh?! Hang in there, it will all work out! :D

The tranny is a couple months old, we're gonna service it next week anyway since it's new to get all the random junk out of it.

Seems like my brakes are worse than normal too...I put my foot to the floor the other day and it slowly rolled to a stop. I'm gonna inspect my lines and calipers while its in the shop for tranny service and oil change. These front disks have never worked perfectly...can't get them to lock no matter what.

I would definately loose to chrome housing...if it had happened on my way back to school I would have been skrewed and making a big mess in the pouring rain.
