Astro Ventilation didn't come on any 68.

that dude is talking about all the special options it had very few made like that it has every thing rally and yet its not an SS has a 350

Astro-Ventilation ONLY came out in 1969. However, what is throwing you for a loop is that they use the vents in the same position that the '68 had for it's A/C. This came about due to the removal of the wing vent windows in 1969 models.

WE have a '69 base 13480 el Camino with the vent windows, no air, and no astro vents.

Sorry, I should have been clear, but I wasn't going for the El Caminos. The '69 wagons had wings too. Funny enough, I saw one at CB that I swear had the '68 300 interior in it. Does anyone know if they used the same in both years for the wagons? It would make sense to do that and not incur the costs again the next year.

They might have if it was like the ealiest model you could get my buddy has a bunch of 300 Series parts up in his attic and he has a bunch of 68-69 300 Door panels 2 of them are for the front of a 69 Chevelle but i swear they are for a 68 because it has the door lock located all the way in the back so that 69 could have been like a very very early model

My 69 Malibu Convrt. seems to have A/C and Astro Vent. There are levers on the kick panels but they seem to move something behind the dash. The vent doors behind the panels open how?
