How do you get the lock off of a 69 glove box door. This is the only hold up from me painting to darn thing!!!

On the 64/5 Chevelles, there is a phillips screw on the inside surface. Real easy.

I've no idea if the 69 is the same. If it's not, i'd look for one of the sliding retainers like what is used on a door lock.

The photos in Gene McGill's reference did the trick for me. I've been trying for months to figure this out. I was trying to use the wrong opening (yes I've thought of many jokes on this) after reading the post in archives. It worked like a charm. The photos are great. Thanks Gene.

Thanks a million for the pictures. I too have been trying for months to figure out how to remove that lock! I had it out and repaired in a few minutes last nite. This page is the greatest!
