3rd Gen 66 Jul 26th, 07, 8:57 AM Ryan, 327's and 4-speeds are always fun and in a 300 Deluxe car they are interesting. Although SS's will always be the big dogs IMO, your car is definitely a very nice car which will certainly turn heads on the road. Sounds like you have a plan, so good luck with the project and career. Remember to keep us posted with pictures of progress.
1968Chevelle300Deluxe Jul 26th, 07, 9:01 AM thanks i will carlos:thumbsup:

huffhuff Jul 26th, 07, 11:36 AM nothing wrong with a Saginaw is you are careful. I like the lower first gear ratio for streetability. i have broke several though. LOL.
1968Chevelle300Deluxe Jul 26th, 07, 8:03 PM thanks guys um the SS hood did not come with the 300 Series cars this guy i bought it off of originally put that on there i think it looks good so i left it on there and the hood latch works great:D but i do need new springs my rivits on the spring assembly are getting worn out anybody sell the 68 hood springs, 68 and 69 are different:sad:
67pete300 Jul 26th, 07, 9:30 PM Is the L79 engine original?
1968Chevelle300Deluxe Jul 26th, 07, 10:31 PM no its not original wish it was:sad:
OutCast Jul 27th, 07, 12:51 AM Your ride is really starting to come along, Ryan. The new metal makes a big difference. Gotta love a 4 speed !
PaPa Johns 77 Jul 27th, 07, 1:03 AM Nice ride Ryan, always have a soft spot for the 68/69 body style and a four speed car at that!
One thing, please do something different with your fuel line. I scares me a little as I once had something similar that ended in an engine fire. Wouldn't want anything bad to happen to that diamond in the rough, would we!:)
1968Chevelle300Deluxe Jul 27th, 07, 8:25 AM ya all i have to do is get new 300 Deluxe sport Coupe door panels from Sms Fabrics for like $600-700 and the interior is pretty much done besides getting Deluxe seat belts and getting my headliner installed and a few other little things, yep you gotta love a 4 speed:thumbsup:
