I'm install a rebuilt Muncie into my 69 Chevelle with console.
I've put the Hurst shifter and rods onto the transmission to bench test and adjust it.
Question is, can I put the transmission in with the shifter as is or do I have to take any/all of the shifter back off ?
What part of the console do I have to remove for this install ?
when do I put the handle on ?

You will need to remove the shifter from the transmission to install it. Once the muncie is in the car you can bolt the shifter and rods back on.

The top plate of the console is the only part you will need to take off. Of course the shifter boot and plate will need to be off too.
