Anyone put side glass in their '72 recently? I'm putting mine in now but after eight years, I'm a little fuzzy about where things go. The two brackets below are left over and I can't find anywhere they mount. The big one came from a bag of door parts and the little one was with the rear window stuff.

Any ideas?

I can't help you directly but the "Body by Fisher" manual has over 40 pages devoted to door and quarter window operation, assembly and adjustment. Exellent book for all you body assembly needs. Cheap book too.

The one on the right is the rub strip that goes on the quarter panel and points down to keep the glass lined up with the window fuzzie and the one on the right goes on the inside opposite the other one. As mentioned the fisher manual will be a great help to you.

I don't recognize the larger piece, but here is a photo of a quarter window lower stop from my 66. It limits travel when lowering the window. Looks like a match.

Thanks guys. I'll need to pick up a copy of the Fisher Body Manual. I have the factory assembly manual but it doesn't address the window mechanisms.

the big one mounts on the outer skin at the top, across from the two stops on the top of the inner door structure. There is a cut out that they fit up into. A plastic bumper in the glass rests against it on the outside when the window is in the full upright position. The other is a stop. If you don't get it figured out PM me and I'll take a digital of them installed and e-mail it to you.

Thanks Prof. I found the locations but it's gonna be fun putting those outer guides on now that the glass is in. Oh well, it'll go in twice as easy the second time.
