The latest issue of Super Chevy tested the Edelbrock 200cc E-Tec heads, their new HR cam, and a Super Victor Vortec intake. I was pretty impressed with the power figures (485 peak hp) with a relatively mild cam grind.
Couple of questions:
1) I'm thinking that you could flatten that torque curve a little (and sacrifice a little top end) with an RPM Air Gap. Opinions on this, keeping in mind the reason is for better street manners (lower stall speed requirement, better low end, etc.).
2) The Edelbrock HR cam used, while being a roller, is NOT a billet core - it's a cast core. What are the opinions of the durability of a non-billet roller?
