i have a 70ss with 73 454 bored 30 over.10 to 1 comp oval port heads ported,polished. big valves same size a square port head,comp 280 hyd came kit,weind alum high rise with 750 holley with a what ive been told has a 4 corner idle sys.have a 3.55 rear ratio.i feel its running too rich.before i take carb apart can anyone recommend the proper jet size for this application .just looking for a place to start.thanks raytayky

When is it running rich? Is it fouling plugs at start. Have you ran it at wide open throttle then kill the engine and check the plug color?

Get the list number off the carb and go here http://www.mortec.com/carbs.htm that ought to get you started.

72 RAT WAGON,NO IT DOESNT FOUL THE PLUGS AT START UP NOW.IT DID BUT AFTER ADJ CHOKE THIS CLEARED UP.ILL HAVE TO CK THE PLUG COLOR AS YOU DESCRIBED AND LET YOU KNOW.ALSO,THANKS FOR THE SITE ON HOLLEYS RAPID ROBERT.

Just make sure that after your WOT that you shut the motor down right away.
