JYD, BBMike, etc...?

I was thinking about heading over there to run in their Saturday Night Special this coming
Saturday (5/8).

Cool...Montgomery is sea level, maybe if the weather's right you'll pull a new best.

Kenny, I saw on another board where Carolina Dragway (Jackson, SC) is running 1/4 mile IHRA ET brackets on 1st and 3rd Saturdays now. It's about the same drive as Montgomery (2.5 hours) and I'm not sure Montgomery runs the full 1/4 mile. I've been looking for a place to run on the weekends I spend at my in-law's Alabama lake house, so I emailed MMP about a week ago to see if they run 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile. So far no response. Of course, this weekend would be the 2nd Saturday, so I guess that's not much help.

Can't tell from their website if they run 1/4 mile either, so I emailed them too. You would think the rules and ET breaks for each class would be on a racetrack's website, but no...

Thanks for the info. MMP is definitely 1/8th although it's setup for a 1/4. They will give you 1/4 ET if you ask to run it out the back.

South Carolina is 1/4, or atleast it has been the 2-3 times I've raced there before, although each of those times was a club event/track rental.

Looks like your comming to AL and I"m gong to GA! Only I'm going to Hellen for a little Rest and Relaxation.

I plan on going to the local 1/8th track two times before I head up to Nashville for Chevelle-abration. Gotta work on the R/Ts some.

So I take it the tranny SNAFU is all good now?
Good luck at MMP. I like the way that track is setup. Things flow well when there aren't 500 camper-trailers filling up the pit area.
