The only difference in the years is the patterns right?
i have a 69 and am looking for a set to replace the bench.

Me too Dave, I don't know about the pattern but I do know they are $$$$

It was shocking when I first looked around, about $400 at Pomona, CA swap meet and those seats looked thrashed, although I was assured a rebuild would make them good as new.

So maybe later down the road for me, good luck with your search :beers:

I believe the 66 buckets are similar to the 67's, except that 66's do not incorporate any sort of seat back latch mechanism.
67 buckets are essentially the same as 68 buckets, both using the side button seat back release, except that the 67 seats have metal backs and skirts, and the 68's have plastic. 69's are essentially the same as 70, 71, and 72 iterations, utilizing a seat back release button located on the upper center of the seat back. All years have unique cover designs.
There are subtle differences in headrests and associated hardware between the various years, but I have read that 70, 71, and 72 are identical.
There are even more subtle differences between the various years, with specific regard to seat frames and spring configuration(s).
In the final analysis however, all Chevelle bucket seats from 67 to 72 are interchangeable with regard to fit and function and, aside from the location of the seat back release and the cover design(s), are indistinguishable one from another, except to the most well informed enthusiast.
Hope this helps answer your question.
