Has anyone bought and installed one of those reproduction 69 dashboards? Mine has a few cracks in it by a few of the screw holes plus the radio area is hacked up. I was wondering if the repros fit good. Also, do they come with the silver highlights already done or is that something I have to do?

got one for my 69 they fit good and the latest ones have the chrome hilites, not the earlier silver hilites. where abouts in buffalo are you from?

I used one with the "chrome" trim. There were two areas that I had to wipe the paint off to reveal chrome. Where I took off too much I was able to then retouch the paint with some Krylon Satin Black. The fit was pretty good. I did have to put it in loose and tweak a hole or two but it went in nice.

there';s a reconditioned gm for sale ebay right now it looks new.

I was just looking at one from Hinshaw's at the Northern regional. Very nice and Jim explained to me that there are a couple of little tabs that have to be broken off behind the bezel so that the guages fit properly. I think I might buy one.

What was the cost and did it have the chrome hi lights?

He told me 169.00 and then looked it up in the catalog and it was 179.00 and yes it had the chrome.
I also saw a couple of them installed in cars and inquired if they were aftermarket or restored stock. I was told they were from Hinshaw's on both accounts and they looked very nice. :beers:
